Single-qubit universal classifier implemented on an ion-trap quantum device

Quantum computers can provide solutions to certain classically intractable problems. However, current devices have limited computational resources, and an effort is made develop useful quantum algorithms under this constraint. This work demonstrates experimentally that a single-qubit processor host universal classifier based on the re-uploading scheme. The used in built with ion trap, providing highly accurate control one-qubit system as required by A set of nontrivial classification tasks are completed successfully. training procedure performed two steps combining simulation experiment. Final results benchmarked against exact simulations same method also classical algorithms, showing competitive performance ion-trap classifier. constitutes experimental implementation algorithm
